Sewing and embroidery have always been part of my life. My mom was a seamstress, and my aunt owned an embroidery business for over 25 years, so I grew up surrounded by creativity, fabric, thread, and craftsmanship.

For a long time, though, my own passion leaned more toward woodworking and building with my hands. I loved creating things from the ground up and finding beauty in craftsmanship and detail. Over time, that same appreciation for making meaningful, high-quality pieces led me back to embroidery — and I discovered a passion of my own.

My husband and I decided to take the leap and purchase a Tajima embroidery machine to start our business, Juniper and Thread.

We live in Central Oregon, where juniper trees cover the landscape and nature is part of everyday life. The outdoors, the mountains, the desert, and the simple beauty of home inspire many of our designs. Our five corgis, also keep life fun, adventurous, and full of personality — and they’ve become part of the heart behind our brand.
